April's 'Whatever' Tags

These were for a swap over on UKS (you don't say) !  The swaps forum underwent a few changes and it meant we would have been without swaps *shock horror* for a whole month at least!  As it turned out, we were thrown a life line and we got to do some tags.  I did something COMPLETELY alien to me ... I made girly tags AND I used baby pink on them

When they were completed and I showed them to my hubby Tony, he said they looked like I had printed them when the printer was acting up and it had printed them banded !  ... thanks for the vote of confidence dear  -  this 'banding' is actually clear embossing !

I used white linen card (again - I like the texture) and inked around the edges, stamped the postcard writing on the top, printed off a vintage image from The Graphics Fairy ? (I think) then I versamarked a script stamp and clear embossed (faulty printer alert !!) over the photo (I'm not actually sure I like the effect but I wasn't doing them again) ... I had deadlines to keep   Added a strip of lace to the bottom and added 2 small flowers, one in pink to bring out the faint bit of pink in the pics ... and there you have it 'girly and pink ... from me *shock*

Octopode ATCs

If I am posting on here - it must be update time again :D  Only a month since my last one lol !

A few of us (ok 14!) are doing an Alice in Wonderland ATC swap - we all chose a character and had to make 14 of them.  I chose the Mad Hatter because basically, he is my favourite character (but only since the Tim Burton film and the wonderful way Johnny Depp plays him)  Anyway - back to the point ( I often wander off on a tangent !) a mad person who lives in France had the bright idea of making a little book to hold them all .. multiplied by 14 !!  she is crazy ... I just about coped with 14 ATCs.

Talking of said ATCs (as that was the whole point of the update !) I cut out my blanks from white linen card, inked them with 2 different green distress inks, (I ended up looking like Shrek), I added circles of black acrylic and little blobs of white, I edged them again with black acrylic paint using the edge of a scrap of card, I printed off my Octopode Hatters and coloured him with pro markers to look a bit Depp-esque (orange hair, purple rings around eyes) then I embossed over him (clear) and stuck him on.  I added a stamped 'time for tea' and a little tea pot & cup charm and that was him done :)

He then hot footed it over to France where he is awaiting the arrival of the rest of the gang and they will all be put into the ATC books ... can't wait :) (and yes, R, you are still crazy !) :P
